We ended our second complete fiscal year on 6/30/2024!

We came into existence on October 14, 2021 when the State of Michigan approved our Articles of Incorporation and the Internal Revenue Service assigned us an Employer Identifcation Number. On January 26, 2022, the Internal Revenue Service approved The Friends as a public charity exempt under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3), meaning donations made to The Friends are tax-deductible.

Our Purpose

The Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library operates exclusively for educational or charitable purposes within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).

The purpose of corporation is to support and enhance the work of the Crystal Falls District Community Library through donations of money, material, and time by
   a) seeking support for the library through monetary donations and gifts of materials and equipment;
   b) stimulating the use of the library’s facilities, resources, and services; and
   c) increasing public awareness of the breadth of library services.

The Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library is an independent and distinct organization dedicated to the support and promotion of the programs and activities of the Crystal Falls District Community Library.
